In the article, “Elevating the Importance of Effective, Reliable Sterilization and Reprocessing,” Joe Sheffer, managing editor at AAMI, interviews industry experts who discuss the healthcare industry’s response to the “super bug” outbreak, challenges the CSSD (Central Sterile Supply Department) still face, the FDA’s recommendations, and the need for manufacturers to consider sterilization and reprocessing early in the design of medical devices.
