Connect with our Human Factors team at our booth from March 30 to April 2 at the 2025 International Symposium on Human Factors and Ergonomics in Health Care. This event provides human factors experts the opportunity to share knowledge and tackle challenges in health care.
Register today to attend our workshop, “Empowering Innovation: Advocating for Generative Research in Medical Device Design,” on Sunday, March 30, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. EDT.
In this half-day workshop, Lisa Gunther, Director of Human Factors Engineering, and Katrina Smith, Program Manager and Staff Human Factors Engineer, will explore the benefits and challenges of generative research in medical device design.
As human factors consultants, we frequently find that clients want to gather user input early in the design process but often express concerns about time and budget constraints. However, with the right toolkit of research methodologies and a solid understanding of which method to employ based on study objectives, timeline, and budget, these studies can be cost-effective and are more likely to lead to the development of the right product for the end user. In this workshop, attendees will gain a foundational understanding of the benefits and challenges of generative research, refine their knowledge of specific study types, enhance their methodological toolkit, and practice communicating the need for and benefits of generative research to stakeholders.
This workshop is essential for professionals looking to expand their toolkit and stay ahead in the ever-evolving field of human factors and ergonomics!
