Staff Mechanical Engineer

Farm is seeking a Staff Mechanical Engineer to join our talented and dynamic product development group and play a critical role in creating the next generation of advanced medical technologies. Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do…
  • Work on a diverse range of products, including connected home health wearables, advanced therapy systems, and surgical robotics.
  • Collaborate with clients from early-stage startups to Fortune 100 medical device companies.
  • Serve as the mechanical technical lead in a dynamic environment driving technical program direction, resource planning, and schedule definition.
  • Partner with various teams, including industrial design, electrical, and software, to develop exceptional product designs from initial ideation through manufacturing.
  • Conceptualize, design, prototype, and test innovative product architectures, mechanisms, and electro-mechanical designs.
  • Deliver presentations to clients and internal teams to communicate design strategies, value, and recommendations.
Here is some of what you’ll need (required)...
  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
  • Requires 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Possess a highly collaborative team attitude with strong leadership skills in mechanical systems design, demonstrating drive and accountability.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks and/or Creo for resolving mechanical designs and creating high-quality CAD databases, with preferred experience in CAD surfacing and engineering simulation software.
  • Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, including plastic part design and metal fabrication, along with the ability to quickly assess and resolve diverse product challenges.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with medical device experience preferred in areas such as electromechanical systems, mechatronics, and experimental design related to fluidic systems, robotics, and sensor integration.
