Quality Engineer

Farm is looking for a Quality Engineer to join our team. In this position you will join our talented and dynamic product development team and play a critical role in creating the next generation of advanced medical technologies. The selected individual will work closely with the Human Factors Engineering, Industrial Design, User Interface, Engineering and Quality teams to develop world class medical products for our clients.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do…
  • Be an embedded member of project teams for an exciting variety of products ranging from home health wearables to next generation therapy systems and surgical robotics.
  • Engage with clients ranging from early stage start ups to fortune 100 medical device companies.
  • Collaborate with project management, industrial design, user interface, human factors, mechanical, software, and electrical teams.
  • Identify and implement appropriate program quality strategies to best meet client needs and QMS compliance.
  • Be the quality technical lead on program teams and facilitate QMS compliance and efficiency.
  • Guide and advise the project team with regards to quality.
  • Interface with other Flex design sites to establish quality plans for transitional programs.
  • Create and document program quality plans.
  • Create and support program strategies for prototype build and evaluation aligned with product development cycle.
  • Develop and carry out test methods and protocols.
  • Plan and facilitate risk management activities.
  • Review deliverables for accuracy and QMS compliance.
  • Drive and manage client deliverables and quality documents to an approved and released state.
  • Extensive collaboration with the Quality Manager.
  • Suggest and implement improvements to the Quality Management System for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Create training materials and conduct effective training sessions on quality procedures and activities.
  • Support corrective and prevention actions as needed and drive to completion.
  • Assists with quality audits.
Here is some of what you’ll need (required)...
  • 4+ years as a Medical Quality Engineer.
  • Design experience and knowledge in Medical Devices.
  • Customer facing experience.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Self-driven and collaborative.
  • Flexibility to work with different customers and projects.
