IT Operations Supervisor

Farm is looking for an IT Operations Supervisor to join our team. The IT Operations Supervisor will ensure the streamlined operation of the IT department in alignment with the business objectives of the site and Flex organization. Primary responsibility will include planning, coordinating, directing, and designing IT-related activities of the site and is responsible to support end users, infrastructure, and to follow corporate, regional and local IT policies, standards and best practices.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do…
  • Plan, prioritize, and manage IT support and maintenance activities to ensure that organization’s information systems function reliably and that IT resources are used effectively.
  • Provide technical and/or project leadership for IT projects and coordinate the efforts of remote teams.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend hardware and software products that will enhance the capabilities of the organization’s information systems.
  • Define, design, implement and maintain support infrastructure for application solutions.
  • Prepare Standard Operating procedures for the day-to-day maintenance of the applications and underlying systems.
  • Direct daily department activities in order to maximize system utilization and support business needs as it pertains to a site’s IT infrastructure. Examples include IMAC, VMAC, and responding to Help Desk tickets.
  • Implement adequate administrative tools and processes for these enterprise systems. Ensure monitoring and controls are in place to ensure stability of the systems.
  • Proactive monitoring of enterprise systems to ensure they are adequately sized to meet the dynamic requirements from the business solutions.
  • Ensure proper backup and retention polices are in place to ensure minimum data loss to the business in case of failures.
  • Ensure knowledge pertaining to new implementations and technologies are adequately shared with the team.
  • Establish clear communication channels and ensure proper feedback mechanisms are in place with customers, peers and cross functional teams.
  • Adherence to Service level agreements agreed with the Business. Ensure timely reviews with stakeholders.
  • Ensure minimum ‘MTTR (Mean time to Repair)’ while fixing problems. Follow-up with proper root cause analysis, corrective & preventive actions with an aim to increase ‘MTBF (Mean time between failures)’.
  • Ensure compliance of the systems w.r.t security and SOX requirements.
  • Develops, implements and monitors management information systems policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security and legal and regulatory compliance.
Here is some of what you’ll need (required)...
  • Requires at least a Bachelor degree from an accredited university/college.
  • 2-5 years of experience in leadership role.
  • Previous experience managing the needs of both internal and external customers.
  • ITIL cert is a preferred.
