Hydra II
Matrix Technologies, acquired by Thermo Scientific, has been a client of Farm's for almost 20 years. Farm designed their first single-channel pipettor in 1986 and continues to develop automated multi-channel instrumentation for high throughput screening. Farm’s value to Matrix over the years includes research in understanding ergonomic issues to minimize repetitive stress injuries and improve productivity all the way to the final engineering of their products. Farm worked in partnership with Matrix Technologies on the engineering and development of the Hydra II, a 96/384-channel microdispenser. Hydra II dispenses volumes as low as 100nL with excellent precision and accuracy and offers the flexibility of use as either a bench-top liquid handler or as an integrated microplate dispenser.
